In the next few weeks Holly will be preparing to move to York after securing top marks in her A level results.

Holly, 18, was nervous about collecting her results, but after securing a Distinction* in Law and a double Distinction in Health & Social Care those nerves soon turned to happiness.

The former Outwood Academy Bishopgarth student said: ‘‘I was really nervous about collecting my results but after opening them I am over the moon. I am so happy to be honest.’’

For Holly her hard work has paid off with a place now secured to study a counselling and mental health course at York St John University.

Describing her experience at Bede, she said: ‘‘It has been really good. The opportunities and help they give you as a student is amazing.

The biggest help for me was how they arranged for us to attend UCAS events and talk to lots of universities, so that we could really get a feel of which university was right for me. It really did help guide me to making the right decision to apply and now accept my place at York St John University. ’’

We can’t wait to see where Holly’s journey leads her.
