The hard work and determination pay off for students at Bede Sixth Form.

A flurry of top grades is cause for celebration for those securing their first-choice next steps from the college in Billingham.

Among those relieved to see a straight A result was 18-year-old Bella who is now off to study medicine at The University of Edinburgh.

Achieving A grades in A level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, she said: “I have wanted to study medicine since school. It is something I know will me busy and every day will be different.

“I have put a lot of effort in, so it was a relief to see my results. Now I’m looking forward to university.”

Also achieving a full set of A grades was Olivia, 18, who said she was “over the moon” with her results today.

Receiving A grades in A level Maths, Chemistry and Business Studies, she said: “It means a lot of countless hours of revising have paid off.”

On track for her ambition to become an accountant, she has secured a place on a Flying Start Degree Programme in Accountancy with industrial experience at The University of Manchester.

Also part of Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education as a talented young netball player, despite a hectic diary, of her time at Bede she said: “I have received all the guidance I needed from great teachers which got me three As.

“That, along with making some of best friends I have ever had has meant that college was never a chore.”
