A move to Durham is on the cards for Oliver
With a smile that he couldn’t keep off his face, Oliver told us how over the moon he was when he opened his A Level results this morning. He said: “I’m completely buzzing, my first reaction was to just hug my friends.”
Oliver achieved 2 A’s and a C in Maths, Business and Law. When asked why he chose to study at Bede Sixth Form College, he said: “The locality was a big factor and I liked how the college had a 10am start”. He continued to tell us how his favourite aspect has been the people who he has met here. Oliver also took part in debate sessions for a few months during his first year and also tried to start up his own chess team.
Having now accepted a place at Durham University, Oliver will be studying to get a degree in Accounting and Finance with the big ambition to retire as early as possible!
His future ambitions are to continue working with numbers, in anything business related or to become an accountant.

A Bachelors in Finance and Accounting is now on the cards for Emily.
Emily was eager to go share her news with all her friends and family this morning and for good reason. Achieving A, A, B in psychology, maths and further maths, Emily stopped to tell us how extremely happy she was with her A Level results.
Speaking of why she chose to study at Bede Sixth Form Emily said: “My sister came here and really enjoyed it so I already had a good impression of the college and it was also close and convenient for me”. When asked what her favourite thing about Bede was now, Emily said: “Definitely the people. All teachers and staff and even the other students are lovely.”
Emily has confirmed her place at Durham University to gain a bachelors degree in Finance and Accounting and will also be completing a year studying abroad. She is not yet sure of her ambitions for the future beyond this but knows her A Level results will help her get to whatever that may be.
