Ambitions to one day live and work in Australia look like they could become a reality for Tegan. 

Off to study Chemistry at the University of York, the course comes with the chance to spend the fourth year studying in Australia. 

“I have always wanted to live there since being a kid,” said the 18-year-old from Stockton. 

So for her the university course couldn’t be more perfect. It meant a lot rested on her grades this week.  

Talking about the wait for results day, she said: “Everybody has been so nervous. I just tried not to think about it too much and tried not to watch the news.” 

The Bede Sixth Form College student was happy to achieve an A* in A level Chemistry, Maths and an A in Biology.
