Alexander, 18, was over the moon when he received his A level results today, achieving a B, B, C in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

He’s now secured a place at Newcastle University to study Chemical Engineering.

Joining Bede Sixth Form College from Ian Ramsey, Alexander picked his subjects to be able to pursue a career in engineering.

“Today was really good; I’m so happy that I got what I needed,” said Alexander.

“Bede has a really good atmosphere, and it’s a great experience. I would tell anyone planning on coming that they just need to work hard to achieve what they want.”
