Deciding which university to study at is a difficult decision. For many, choosing to study at a university over 400 miles from home may seem daunting, but not for former Northfield School student, Katie.

After completing courses in Media Studies, Business Studies and Music Tech at Bede Sixth Form, Katie has her sights firmly set on preparing for journey to a career in the TV industry, starting with a degree in television at Falmouth University.

Talking about her passion for TV, Katie says that she has always ‘‘liked the creative industry’’ and is really looking forward to starting the degree course in September.

Describing her time at Bede, she said: “It has been good. I have had a lot of fun whilst studying here. I have really enjoyed all the subjects I studied but Media and Music Tech were just so much fun. It was really nice to study subjects with other students who shared my passion and it was just a really good experience.”

It won’t be long before Katie will be packing her bags for her Cornwall and everyone here at Bede Sixth Form College wishes her all the success for a career in the TV industry!
