Teejay achieves a triple distinction* and confirms a place at Northumbria University!

Appearing to be quite shocked, Teejay told us he was very happy with his results this morning. Having studied Public Services, Teejay now has plans to go on to university and work toward a BSc in Professional Policing.

When asked why he chose Bede, Teejay said: “The tutor for Public Services was highly recommended to me. I was told he was really good at what he did and I can now fully agree with those recommendations.”

Bede Sixth Form also offers many further enrichment activities and Teejay told us how he also had the chance to take part in some Rugby sessions during his studies.

Teejay will soon be moving to Newcastle to further his education but has his future sights set on the Royal Marines. He said: “I can’t wait to train for the Royal Marines, that’s where I want to be”.

Robyn is now one step closer to her dream of becoming a Diagnostic Radiographer

Robyn was beaming as she read her A Level results this morning. Having achieved B, C and a distinction* in Biology, Sociology and Applied Law, Robyn has set herself up for success and confirmed her place at Sheffield Hallam University.

We asked Robyn what is was about Bede that made her want to study here, she said: “I loved how it had a smaller campus and it was further away from my home in Ingleby, I enjoyed travelling.” Sheffield may be a little further to travel than Billingham but we’re sure Robyn will enjoy that just as much!

Robyn’s next steps will be to finish her bachelors in Diagnostic Radiography with ambitions to secure a job in that field.

An apprenticeship with Shape Training is next for Sarah!

It’s been another hard year for students studying throughout a pandemic but Sarah didn’t let that stop her. Achieving a distinction, a distinction* and a C in Applied Science, Health & Social Care and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, Sarah was very happy with her results. She said “Some of my grades we’re predicted so I had an idea of what I would get today but I didn’t expect to pass Religion, Philosophy and Ethics so I am very happy with that.”

Sarah loved that she could attend Bede Sixth Form College with her being so local to her and told us her favourite thing was meeting new people and making some amazing friends.

Sarah is currently completing her Level 2 apprenticeship at Shape Training which will conclude in October with plans to continue and complete her Level 3. When speaking of her future Sarah said “I hope to become a nursery practitioner."
