The sky is the limit for Abbey on A-Level results day

After achieving the grades she needed in Chemistry, Biology and Art & Design, Abbey is now excited at the prospect of starting her journey with the Royal Air Force. Despite finding her subjects challenging, Abbey added that she really enjoyed her time here at Bede and was particularly fond of the 10:00am start time!

She said: “The subjects I studied were quite challenging but I’m really pleased with my overall results. I have already passed the selection process with the RAF and looking forward to completing my medical and hopefully starting my career in the forces.

“I have really enjoyed my time here at Bede, the 10:00am start times were definitely a bonus!”

Daniel is in his element as he achieves his A-Level results

It appears that Daniel choosing to study at Bede was the perfect formula as he received his A-Level results today. Achieving an A in both Chemistry and Biology and a Distinction* in Music Technology, Daniel is excited about pursuing his passion for chemistry.

He said: “I have loved studying here at Bede, the facilities are amazing and the teachers really care about helping you achieve your goals. I was given a great enrichment opportunity to do ‘Chemist into Industry’ with Mitsubishi Chemistry, this really helped with my personal statement and it was such a good experience.”

For his next step, Daniel is planning to progress to Northumbria University to study Chemistry with the hope of later completing a Masters and a PhD.

Libby has locked up a future with the police

Aspiring police officer Libby was over the moon to receive the A-Level results she needed to pursue a career in the force. Originally choosing to study at Bede for the smaller, community style environment, it was her Criminology teacher who made a lasting impression.

She said: “I loved my Criminology teacher Tom, after really struggling in the first year, he came in and really took the time to help me get the grades I need to pursue a career in policing. Bede is such a small and welcoming environment, I’ve really enjoyed my time studying here.”

After recently securing employment, Libby is planning to take a gap year before applying to do criminology at university.
