Ben secures his place at university

It was business as usual for former Northfield student Ben who collected two A* and one A for his A-Level results.

With the ambition of becoming an accountant, Ben studied Maths, Business and Economics to give him the necessary skills and qualifications to pursue his dream career.

Now going on to study a PWC Flying Star Degree at Newcastle University, Ben is looking forward to studying a mix of business, accounting and gaining some work experience with PWC.

Ben said: “I couldn’t fault Bede, it was a great college and I have really enjoyed my time here. I am really happy with my results and looking forward to joining Newcastle University.

Mia bags herself an apprenticeship with Mitsubishi Chemicals UK

It was the perfect mix of subjects for Mia as she is now going on to study a Degree Apprenticeship with Mitsubishi Chemicals UK.

With a passion for chemistry, Mia loved working with her tutor Rob and also took part in ‘Chemists into Industry with Lucite’ as part of her enrichment activities.

Leaving Bede with an A in Chemistry and Maths and a B in Maths, she is excited at the prospect of working with a global company and starting her apprenticeship.

She said: “I really loved my Chemistry lessons, Rob was a great tutor and we all had such a good time in our lessons.”

Lily is off to study Midwifery

Four was the lucky number for former St Michael’s student Lily who managed to complete A Levels in Health & Social, Psychology, Photography and Biology.

Wanting to challenge herself, motivated student Lily was determined to complete all of her subjects with the hope of eventually becoming a midwife.

She said: “Bede gave me the option of studying four subjects and supported me through the whole process, I’m really grateful. I was determined to do well and I couldn’t be happier with my results.

Leaving with a D* in Health & Social Care and a B in her other subjects, Lily has been accepted to Teesside University to study Midwifery.

She added: “The dream has always been to become a midwife and I can’t wait to get started.”

Emily’s hard work has paid off

Hard work has paid off for Emily who is going on to study Psychology with Clinical Psychology at Teesside University.

Achieving an A in English and a B in Psychology and Sociology, Emily puts her success down to her amazing tutors and the lovely atmosphere around the college.

She said: “I loved Bede, the college had such a lovely atmosphere and I made so many new friends. I loved studying the subjects I chose and I definitely feel it was meant to be.”

The former Macmillan Academy student enjoyed taking part in enrichment activities and was a member of the Charity Club who focussed on helping the homeless. Emily was also a student ambassador for the college

She added: “I loved being a part of the Charity Club, I love helping people and giving back so I was really pleased that Bede had an option for this.”
