Studying at Northumbria University is up next for Mia
Mia is already packing her bags for the move up to Newcastle after securing her place to study riminology at Northumbria University.
After collecting her results Mia commented; ‘‘I was really happy with my results overall and I was buzzing that I managed to get the UCAS points I needed to secure my place at University.’’
"I initially chose Bede because my friends were coming here and Bede has a really good reputation for psychology and criminology. I have found the teachers really lovely and they pushed me to achieve the best results I could’’ said Mia.
So, after completing A levels in criminology, psychology and applied science, a degree in criminology with the hope of becoming a forensic scientist or crime scene investigator is Mia’s long-term goal.
Owen secures a triple distinction!
Owen is celebrating after securing a triple distinction in his public services course at Bede Sixth Form College.
The former North Shore Academy pupil is now off to Teesside University to study professional policing.
After opening his results, Owen commented; “I was really shocked at getting these results. I didn’t expect it at all but all the hard work has been worth it.’’
Before studying at Bede, Owen had heard a lot of good things about Bede and reflected; ‘‘when deciding which college was for me, I had heard a lot of good things about Bede and it has been a really good laugh. I have never had a problem here.’’
Josh sets his sights on a career in finance
After collecting his A level results in law, criminology and business studies, Josh has set his sights on securing an apprenticeship in finance to help him reach his career goals of working in finance.
‘‘I am now going to look for an apprenticeship in finance or business now I have got my results. I was pleasantly surprised with them as I didn’t expect them.’’
Reflecting on his time at Bede Sixth Form College, Josh noted: ‘‘The locality of the college was the main reason I came here. I had also heard lots of good things about the college from everyone in my school so I knew it was the right decision for me.’’
