Introduction

The 3 A Level programme in Policing is specifically designed for those students who already aspire to join the police force. Students will build specialist knowledge, skills and behaviours related to working in the police service in areas such as leadership skills, physical fitness, and equality, diversity and inclusion, which will prepare them to progress on to a Professional Policing Degree or the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship route. Alongside your studies, you can also complete the Duke of Edinburgh awards.

How will I learn

Lessons are a mixture of theory and practical. Wherever possible underpinning theory will be demonstrated in a practical context using our excellent facilities. We will do a mixture of group work, individual work, research, and presentations.

What's next

The course is worth up to 168 UCAS points and is designed for progression to University to study Professional Policing or a similar degree. Alternative routes include the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship.
