HISTORY

2 Year Course

Grades 9-4 in seven GCSEs (AGCSE: 5.00 – 5.50) plus grade 4 in GCSE History and grade 5 in GCSE English.

Transformations that shaped Britain

Our A Level History course explores the key political, social, and economic transformations that shaped Britain and the USA in the 20th century.

This course will develop your analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to engage with historical debates—essential for university and beyond. A key part of our course is engaging with primary sources, such as government reports, speeches, and media coverage, to understand the perspectives of people who lived through key historical events.

Alongside this, we analyse secondary interpretations from leading historians, developing your ability to assess differing viewpoints and form well-reasoned arguments based on historical evidence.
