English Literature

If you love literature, this course will give you a great excuse to read to your heart’s content! Then you can indulge yourself by discussing, thinking and writing about what you have read.

You will examine great works of English literature from the Romantic period through to the present day. We get excellent results – we have had an A level pass rate of 100% for the last four years. Our dedicated teachers offer lots of support and enrichment, including the opportunity to enter creative writing competitions.

We also go on theatre trips to supplement the course. We also have guest speakers. Students have taken part in a workshop led by poet, Toni Peters, and enjoyed a morning with Diamond Dagger winner, Martin Edwards.
