How can we help?

Here at Bede Sixth Form College, we understand that you may need a helping hand financially when studying, letting you focus on your studies.

At Bede Sixth Form we offer a wide range of services designed to help you overcome any financial barriers.

 

· Free college meals (if in receipt of an eligible benefit)

· Help towards childcare costs when you are in college if you are aged 20+. Students aged 16-19 can apply for Care to Learn on the Gov.uk website

· Discount on any kit, equipment, trips and visits deemed necessary to complete your course

· Free bus travel to and from college during term times. You can choose from either a Delta or Stagecoach pass. Please note there is a £5 administration charge per term for students travelling by bus.


All students must complete a bursary application form before they can be considered for any of the above support.

Termly Charge – Ways to Pay There is a termly £5 charge for bus passes. The termly charge is due by the following dates: 15th November 2024, 7th March 2025, 9th May 2025. You can pay by cash, card or telephone Monday - Friday during term-time. (Some students may have this cost paid by bursary funding depending on eligibility).

Paying by cash

Student can take cash to the Student Support and Wellbeing Office MWA209 Monday to Friday during term time.

Students can pay by card at the Student Support and Wellbeing Office MWA209
