Course overview

Do you have a passion for music? Do you want to learn how to make and record your own sounds? Studying sound engineering could be for you. With job opportunities across a range of different industries available for talented engineers, producers and technicians, you could go on to earn a living doing the very thing that you love.

As a Sound Engineering student you’ll cover many aspects of the recording and sound industry, learning classic and modern sound recording techniques, recording your own songs and sounds, and improving your listening skills. You’ll record musicians, bands and soloists, and develop your own skills as an engineer.

Course information

The course is assessed through a combination of coursework and controlled practical assessment. There are a total of five units completed across the two years, with one unit externally assessed via controlled assessment.
