Working in partnership with Durham Women’s Football Club, the Women’s Football Academy gives young players the opportunity to progress and play at a professional level whist also studying for their futures.
Players in the Academy will get the chance to compete against some of the best young players in the country as they can represent both Bede Sixth Form in the AoC Premiership and represent Durham Women’s FC in both the National Football Youth League and the WSL Academy Super Cup.
Players from the Academy have the flexibility to represent Bede Sixth Form, Durham Women’s FC and any other community club.

Players will train on our FIFA 1 standard, FA registered, flood-lit astro pitch as well as having the opportunity to use our on-site gym and strength and conditioning facilities.
Training three times a week with high-level coaching provided by Durham Women’s FC, players looking to take their game to the next level will have the support they need to achieve their aspirations.

With two teams competing in the North East Colleges League, The Men’s Football Academy offers its players the opportunity to compete on a Wednesday for Bede Sixth Form College whilst also representing players’ local
clubs on a weekend.
Launched in 2019, the Academy has seen some early success when the team was crowned the NECL Development League champions in 2021.

In partnership with Whitby Town FC, The Men’s Football Academy works with Scholarship Connect to help players progress and aspire to work in the USA for NCAA Colleges.
The men’s football programme benefits from a comprehensive and competitive fixture list that challenges players and aids their development so they can be confident taking their next step into semi-professional football or 
university football.

The Men’s Rugby Academy was established in 2020 and has quickly become the fastest growing
academy in ISE.
The academy currently competes in the AoC North East Division 1 with ambitions to compete the AoC Premiership division within the next two years.
The rugby programme benefits from two full-time coaches and aims to prepare players to play at a professional level.

Our facilities include the use of a state-of-the-art gym, 3G floodlit pitch, an onsite training pitch and home games are hosted by Billingham Rugby Club and Stockton Rugby Club.
Designed to work around your studies, the 2022-23 timetable has been created for players to have the opportunity to train three times a week with the addition of competitive fixtures on a Wednesday which further demonstrates the commitment to support high performing athletes.

Launched in 2021, the Netball Academy works in partnership with Grangetown Netball Club and Teesside University with the aim of providing a performance pathway for local players from grassroots through to university.
This exciting academy will offer young players aged 16 to 19 the opportunity to play netball alongside studying any course at Bede Sixth Form, without having to compromise on either one.
Players in the Academy will get the chance to compete against some of the best young players in the country in the AoC Sport North East Netball league with the ambition of competing in the AoC premiership within the next
two years, as well as trial for the chance to compete in AoC Sport national championships.
Training with top coaches that currently play professionally in the Vitality Super League, academy players will benefit
from their expertise.

Established in 2021, the Women’s Rugby Academy was developed to give local players the opportunity to enhance their rugby skills whilst gaining excellent qualifications for their future.
Benefitting from two full time coaches, the Academy aims to prepare players to play at a professional level.
With access to industry-standard facilities to enhance players technique, players have access to our state-of-the-art gym, 3G floodlit pitch, an onsite training pitch and home games are hosted by Billingham Rugby Club and Stockton Rugby Club.

Training three times a week with expert coaches, current DPP coach, Rob Green and Ollie Hodgson, currently playing National 1 with Mowden Park RFC, players will benefit from regular festivals and fixtures to help them develop their
rugby alongside their clubs.

Working in partnership with Teesside Lions and Durham University Men’s Basketball team, Bede ISE’s Basketball Academy provides the perfect opportunity for young players to train alongside some of the best players in the
area.
Currently competing in the AoC North East Division 1 league, the team has entered into the AoC regional championship tournament.
With coaching provided by BE Aspire coach and Teesside Lions’ Director of Coaching, Anthony Reed, players will also be able to access 1-2-1 workouts with ISE Lead, Ian Hewitt, currently BUCS Premiership Men’s Head Coach and former England U15’s boys assistant coach and North East Performance Coach.

The Institute of Sport and Education continues to strive to help talented athletes excel, in order to support this goal, the ISE scholarships were launched in 2021 in partnership with Teesside University.
The scholarships have been designed to maximise athletic development in a holistic approach whilst also considering our dual career model.
