What do we study
The Foundation Stage of the CPQ is broken down into three elements: core legal knowledge, practice and skills; ethics and professional responsibility; and professional experience. Bede Sixth Form College will provide you with tuition on the core knowledge, practice and skills required to complete this element of the programme. As part of your academic study you will need to complete five mandatory modules. These include, Legal Systems, Contract Law, Law of Tort, Introduction to Property and Private Client and Professional and Legal Skills. In addition, you will be required to evidence your competence via a professional experience portfolio, carried out with a legal employer, and complete the first ethics and professional responsibility eLearning module. Please note, there is no requirement for you to be working in the legal sector when first embarking on the CPQ Foundation Stage. However, in order to complete the full qualification, you will need to have secured some work experience which covers the requirements of the Professional Experience element of the programme.
